Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy have been surrounded by rumours of a Sam & Cat fight this week, with reports suggesting that money was the reason behind their alleged feud and why the show had taken a "production hiatus." However, despite Grande usually staying quiet about online gossip, she decided that enough was enough in terms of the latest claims, speaking out on Twitter to say that it was all "absolutely ridiculous and false."
Jennette first sparked rumours that her friendship with Ariana was on the rocks, when she failed to attend the Kids' Choice Awards last Saturday. The 21-year-old actress later addressed her absence on Twitter, stating that her issue is with Nickelodeon although she failed to go into detail.
This then fuelled reports that the pair had had a fall out and when the claims continued to hit headlines across the globe, Ariana decided that it was up to her to put the record straight once and for all.

The brunette posted on her social networking profile: "I hate addressing rumors and I hate gossip but this is really bothering me. Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards (as we should be, considering we each work just as hard as the other on this show).
"The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false. I don't know who's putting these idiotic quotes out there but I thought I'd straighten it out and try to end this nonsense."
She then continued to say: "As far as the show goes, I don't know what's happening because I'm not directly involved with the problem but I just wanted to address this one rumor in particular because I am NOT making more money than my costar, nor do I think I should be.
"So we can all move on and get out of our heads that this was a money thing cause I don't play like that at all. I am, have always been and always will be about equality and fairness."
The singer later added to her army of fans: "love you and don't want you being in the dark about work related things like this.. thank you for caring and supporting through and through." (sic)
It was rumoured that Jennette was not happy with Ariana's Nickelodeon salary (WENN)
This comes after TMZ had previously reported that Jennette had been locked in a battle with the network over money, claiming that she is getting paid less than her popular co-star.
Sources reportedly told the website that Jennette has been trying to renegotiate her deal with the network but it's not proved fruitful so far.
A rep for Nick previously told EntertainmentWise that the cast will be taking a much-needed rest when filming ends next week.
“We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of Sam & Cat, and everyone is understandably tired. We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest,” the statement read.
