Actress Kate O'Mara has died at the age of 74.
Her agent Phil Belfield said the former Dynasty star passed away in a Sussex nursing home this morning following a short illness.
After announcing the sad news, Mr Belfield said "a shining star has gone out as he paid tribute to his friend and client.

He said: "She was extraordinary, she had so much energy and vitality with a love for theatre and acting.
"A shining star has gone out and Kate will be dearly missed by all who knew and have worked with her."
Kate is best known for her role as Caress Morell, the scheming sister of Alexis Colby in the 1980s American soap Dynasty.
She also starred as Katherine Laker in the BBC soap Triangle which ran from 1981 to 1983 and was set onboard a North Sea ferry.

She made an appearance in two Absolutely Fabulous episodes as Patsy Stone's sister Jackie.
And Doctor Who fans will remember her as renegade female Time Lord Rani.
Her last on-screen appearance was in the role of Mrs Simmonds on the ITV show, Benidorm, in 2012.
Kate, who was married twice and had a son called Dickon from her first marriage to British actor Jeremy Young, but he was found dead at the age of 48 in the garage of the home he shared with Kate in Warwickshire.
Bellfield added that a date for a private funeral and a memorial service for Kate would be confirmed soon.
