Neil Patrick Harris will host the Tony Awards for a fourth time next month, with the Emmy Award winning actor confirming the big news in a statement today.
“I'm very excited to be back hosting the Tony Awards at the legendary Radio City Music Hall,” Harris reveals. “It’ll be more impressive than ever - if my math is correct, it will be 267 times bigger than last year. Oh, wait. No, that can’t... hold on... carry the one... I’m awful at math.”
The How I Met Your Mother star was the lead name linked to the hosting job after putting in stellar performances in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

As well as his hit TV show, Harris has strong ties with theatre, having starred in Broadway play “Proof” and the musicals “Cabaret” and “Assassins." Meanwhile insiders tells New York Daily News' Confidenti@l that the star has been “quietly been making the rounds of shows" to prepare for his hosting gig.
The actor will also act as a producer of the ceremony, as he did last year. Harris' fourth turn as host puts him behind only five-time host Angela Lansbury and ahead of Julie Andrews, Robert Preston, Rosie O’Donnell and Hugh Jackman who have all hosted three times.
The Tonys take place on June 9.
