Kris Kross star Chris Kelly is being laid to rest today in Atlanta, Georgia, with the rapper's friends and family arriving to pay their respects.
The 'Jump' rapper died on May 1 at the age of 34 when he was found unresponsive at his Atlanta home by his mother, and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a hospital. According to TMZ, mourners have begun arriving at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church where friends and family will be able to pay their respects by the open casket.

The website reports that Kelly has been laid to rest wearing a black suit, white shirt, pink tie and earrings.
While many of Kelly's peers in the music world expressed their condolences after the news of his passing, those who are expected to attend, including his Kris Kross partner Chris Smith and So So Def record label boss Jermaine Dupri are yet to arrive.
Sources have told the website that Smith is taking the death of his music partner “especially hard” and is “still trying to pull himself together.”
A message was posted in Kelly's casket, which read: “Cause that's what I was born to do...,” in reference to the lyrics from Kris Kross' 'Warm It Up.' The casket was also surrounded by photos of the rap duo from their heyday in the 90s.
The funeral has been closed off to the public although they were allowed to attend a viewing. A small group of Kelly's close family friends are expected to gather at his home after the funeral.
Last week, the autopsy into Kelly's death was completed however, an exact cause of death is yet to be determined pending the results of toxicology tests. Hours after his death, Kelly's mother reportedly told police officers that he had taken a cocktail of heroine and cocaine the night before his death.
