'It's Where I Want To End My Days': Halle Berry Vows To Move To France Despite Gabriel Aubry's Bitter Battle

Halle's daughter's father Gabriel doesn't want her moving to France

Halle Berry is keen to start a new life in France, it seems, as the actress has now said that she's still planning on moving abroad when her little one turns 18, despite her daughter's father Gabriel Aubry not wanting her to do so.

The star wants to start a fresh with her fiance Olivier Martinez but her former partner, Gabriel Aubry reportedly isn't too happy about the pair planning on taking their little girl, Nahla, with them.

Olivier and Gabriel have definitely had their differences in the past and Halle has now said that she's ready to delay her dream until her daughter is old enough to make her own decision about where she wants to live.

“It probably won’t be until my daughter is 18 and off to college,” she told Hello magazine.

“When Nahla turns 18, she’ll be legally able to make her own decisions about where she wants to be and I think that then, when she’s off on her own, we’ll move there. It’s where I want to end my days, that’s for sure."

Olivier Martinez and Halle's ex Gabriel Aubry had an infamous bust up last Thanksgiving, with Nahla's father showing off visible injuries after the fight, whereas Olivier escaped with minor injuries. Could this have anything to do with Gabriel not being so fond of him moving so far away with his daughter?

But, it seems like Halle's not letting her ex stop her dream of moving away and has even hinted that she's going to be learning the language.

Halle says she won’t be learning to speak French until she lives there as boyfriend Olivier Martinez thinks it will be too much for her to take on at the moment.

“I was told very lovingly by him not to work on it too hard now but to wait until we get to live there. Because for me, at my age and with all that I already have on my plate, trying to learn French is probably one of the hardest things I could possibly do,” she said.

“He thinks I’ll have an easier time when we’re living there and immersed in the culture – if we ever get to go that is.”
