Angelina Jolie & Twins' Secret Hospital Getaway

Angelina Jolie & her week-old twins managed to give the paparazzi the slip when they left the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, early on Saturday morning.

Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline got their first lesson in how to evade the press when they left the hospital at 4 a.m. local time - much to the disapointment of the journalists camped outside and the snappers stationed on nearby roof-tops in anticipation of the family leaving by helicopter.

"There was a sudden spray of light out of the hospital's garage way and then four or five people came out of that through a rear doorway," an eyewitness tells People.

"They stood behind the hospital in a small courtyard in the dark."

The courtyard entrance used only for emergency access "was suddenly opened by someone who was waiting in the bus stop beside the hospital."

"This group of people got into the van, very quickly," continues the source. "It was all done in a hurry. And they were very quick organizing themselves inside. Very rapid. And then 'Pouf!' they were gone.

"With all the press attention around them, a constant watch on the front of the hospital, they managed to leave so quickly, my hat's off to them."

The latest additions to the Brangelina clan were born on 12 July.

Lenval hospital rep Nadine Bauer confirmed the departure, adding that, "The mother and babies are doing very well."
