Nicole Richie Outsells Christina Aguilera In Battle Of The Baby Covers

Nicole Richie has apparently come out on top in the battle of the baby covers.

Nicole’s People cover with baby Harlow is set to outsell Christina Aguilera's cover featuring her son Max.
 
According to early estimates, Nicole's issue is on target to sell more than 1.8 million copies - far more than Christina's effort.

As for Christina’s lack of appeal, it seems that her life just hasn't been blighted by sufficient scandal to make her interesting to the public.

An insider tells MSNBC’s The Scoop: “There’s also a greater element of curiosity with Nicole.”

“She’s gone public about being a heroin addict. Her boyfriend is covered in tattoos. By default, she’s got the more interesting baby. People want to see how she settles down.

“They want to see what kind of baby someone with her background has.”

Christina is said to have responded to initial reports of poor sales by firing her manager, assistant and PR firm.
