Britney Spears Urged To Enter Mental Hospital

Britney Spears’ family and close friends are urging the pop wreck to voluntarily check into a mental hospital in a bid to get her custody battle with Kevin Federline back on track.

The wayward singer lost all visitation rights to her sons, Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, after she sparked a dramatic police stand-off last Thursday by refusing to hand the boys over to her ex-husband at the scheduled time.

Following her shock release from Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was undergoing a mental evaluation, speculation has gown that Brit is suffering from bipolar disorder.

And her few close confidantes fear she will not have a chance of regaining custody of her boys unless she seeks professional help.

But TMZ claims Brit is – as usual - refusing to listen to the advice of those that actually care about her, whilst sources tell them she has since "pulled it together, at least on the surface".

The custody order banning Brit from seeing her kids lasts until January 14, when the situation will be reviewed.
