Prince Harry, who is a keen follower of bloodsports, has been questioned by the police after three people witnessed him and an unidentified friend shooting rare birds.
The birds in question were Hen Harriers and it's believed only twenty of them exist. If Harry and his friend did kill the birds, he could be fined up to £10,000 (USD $20,715.52) or spend a six month in prison.
A spokesperson for Clarence House said: “Because Prince Harry and a friend were both in the area at the time, the police have been in contact with them asn asked them if they have any information that could help. Unfortunately, they had no knowledge incident.”
A spokesman for the wildlife group Natural England said: “One of our wardens saw the birds in the air, heard the shots and watched them fall. It wasn’t possible to see who was responsible.
“We are shocked that rwo of England’s rarest birds have been killed in this way. They are one of the most valuable species we have.”
