John Mayer and Jessica Simpson Reunite

John Mayer and Jessica Simpson are certainly acting strangely for a couple that have supposedly broken up ? according to a friend, they are still enjoying dates together.

John, who reportedly split with Jessica last week, was spied leaving Jessica?s New York hotel yesterday.

"He was looking really happy," an eyewitness tells In Touch. "He couldn't stop smiling."

A friend of Jessica's confirmed that the on-again-off-again couple "definitely went on a date last night" but says that the singer is taking the reunion one step at a time.

Friends say that breaking up and making up has become routine for John and Jessica so it sounds like it's business as usual for the fickle pair.
