It seems that Supergirl is to be set for a remake.

Rumours from joblo.com are circulating round the net that Warner have a script commissioned and are looking for a ?college age? actress to take the role.

Hotly tipped is star of TV series ?Battlestar Galactica?, Tricia Helfer, although at 33 she is reportedly deemed ?a little old? for the role.

Purists may not be too happy either, as the studio is intent on making the film, er, ?of interest? to younger men, so expect a tighter costume and a looser plot.

The 80?s original featured thespian Peter O?Toole and Faye Dunaway, with young?un Helen Slater in the title role, but was universally panned and only one was made.
