Dreamgirls actress Jennifer Hudson is to become the first black singer to grace the front cover of Vogue magazine.
Hudson will only become the third ever black woman to appear on the cover, after chat show host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey, and Oscar winning actress Halle Berry.
The cover was shot be renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz in New York City?s Harlem Theatre.
Hudson has won both a Golden Globe and Bafta for best actress in a supporting role for her portrayal as Effie White in the big screen adaptation of broadway musical Dreamgirls. She is also nominated for best actress Oscar.
Jennifer Hudson?s rise to the Hollywood A list comes just three years after she was voted off the third series of American Idol.
