Mike Myers To Play Legendary Keith Moon!

Hand-picked by Roger Daltrey himself…

Wednesday 03rd Jan 2007

Mike Myers has been confirmed to play legendary drummer Keith Moon in a forthcoming biopic.

According to Hollywood.com Myers, famous for the Austin Powers and Wayne?s World films, was hand-picked by Moon?s former The Who bandmate Roger Daltrey to play the iconic drummer.

Keith Moon was famous for his destructive lifestyle, and passed away in 1978 at the age of 32, as the result of an overdose.

The film?s co-producer Nigel Sinclair said: ?Roger?s dream was to have Mike as the creative force to pull the project together?

The film, which has been given the title See Me Feel Me (Keith Moon Naked For Pleasure), is due for release in 2009, which should give Myers enough time to practice driving expensive cars into swimming pools.

  • It doesn’t get any worst than this. This is a role you would audition for a new comer, not some guy who has made his wealth on being a cornball. Will it have the scene where Keith answers the door with a Nazi uniform with nothing on from the waist down? Roger Daltry will turn this into sugarcoated bullshit, and gloss over the true tragedy of it all. When is the video date release? I hope to find it at Big lots for a 5 spot in August.

  • I met Keith Moon once. I asked him what happened when he passed out after only two songs at the Boston Garden. He glared at me and said in a stern voice: ” Well, I really don’t remember, young man. I was unconscious at the time.”

  • So Gabe, who would you pick to play Moon, please don’t say Mike Meyers, cos if you do, you might as well have Dana Carvey play Roger Daltry.

  • Some unknown brit comic should play Keith. Pete Doherty comes to mind, but he’ll be dead soon and is too tall. If Sofia Coppola were directing , all the Who members would be girls. Artistic license, you see.

  • Did Marty Feldman have a son? He’d be 32 right now. I know some friends from Brewster NY that look like Marty, so we could send in a yank to do the job. Come to think of it, I once read an interview with Keith moon, in which he hadn’t been sober for 2 days since he was Eleven, which is exactly the program followed by the up starter in Neew Yawk, and 50% of the yanks in the heartland (why do you think Bush won the election?) They should have Paul Rubens play Pete Townshends character. Dear Dultry
