Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has hinted that she may be quitting the popular show.

The actress says that she wants to work in the big screen more as opposed to television.

She has already starred in two films ? ?The Sentinel? and ?Harsh Times? but is now apparently keen to get more work.

The 31-year-old told the Western Mail that she?d like to play more ?strong? women, adding: ?I really want to do more films instead of TV and get the opportunity to meet people like Michael and Kiefer Sutherland.?

Longoria is currently filming the comedy ?How I Met My Boyfriend?s Dead Fianc?e.?

  • Better go the George Clooney route and not David Caruso. And 31 is old for budding starlets on the big screen. Eva isn’t going to beat out Rosario Dawson or Jessica Alba for roles. That ship has sailed

  • Eva Who? I never heard of her before Desperate Housewife! Sounds like a repeat of Farrah after leaving Charlie’s Angels when her head got to big for the show that made her name famous, and she flopped, Eva is NO Farrah either, she is trashy looking but beautiful in the face, she is not that talented to make it on the big screen, does she actually think the movies she has been in people went to see because she was in them? Please!!!!!!

  • If Eva leaves the show, the ratings are going to be horrible! She’s a very important factor there. I also disagree about her time on the big screen passing because of her age. She looks damn good and all roles aint for youngins. You all just sound like a bunch of haters!

  • The older roles, Karmen, will go to the Anne Archers, Mimi Rogers, Annette Benings, Kim Basingers and Michelle Pfeiffers. Sure Eva may get some B film work, but there’s not alot out there. Maybe a ”Lifetime” movie now and then, but Hollywood doesn’t make many movies anymore. The ones they do are marketed for 14 year old boys. Eva could be Hilary Duff’s mom. Scary, huh?
