George Clooney Shuns The Highlife!

 

Clooney, who won ?Best Supporting Actor? for his role in ?Syriana? apparently drank vast amounts of vodka cocktails and wolfed down a large steak dinner. Joining them was Rachel Weisz, Mick Jagger, and Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan, Michael Bolton, Madonna and Guy Richie. It must have been quite overwhelming for ?Dan Tana?s? to say the least!

 

George told The Sun that he wanted to turn away from the highlife, he explained that he didn?t want to spend time with people he wouldn?t usually choose to hang out with: ?I?m going to meet my buddies. They?re there with their wives- and I get to walk in with an OSCAR. That?s the fun of it.?

 

Clooney even turned down a celebrity bash thrown by magazine Vanity Fair. The exclusive party turned down the likes of Paris Hilton, who had really wanted to go. To which they remarked: ?Paris who. She will never attend one of the parties I host.? (hehe!)

 

George did attend a showbiz party the previous night but claims it was only in the aid of charity. He said he was much happier being amongst friends. Well isn?t that sweet!
