Rumors have it that The Beckhams, now in their tenth year of being together (How old does that make you feel!) will be renewing their wedding vows. David and Victoria married seven years ago on July 4 1999, at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland. It still stands as one of the most extravagant weddings in history, and we would not have expected anything less, quite frankly!
Victoria said recently to OK! magazine: "We wouldn?t have done the wedding any differently. Everything went to plan. We did it our way and we don?t regret a thing. Our wedding was a fairy tale?a dream come true."
Since then, David and Victoria have been through a lot. What with media tales of affairs, and David?s transfer to Real Madrid it?s a wonder they?re still together. The transfer to Real Madrid meant the whole family moving out there, so they could be together but David had to wait six months for their arrival.
Elton John, a close friend of the Beckhams said to OK! Magazine: "I think he missed her and the boys terribly. If you live for six months in a hotel room in Madrid-or anywhere-it?s going to drive you crazy." But he added "Basically they are two people that love each other very much"
After more accusations made by the media, about them only staying together to exploit the benefits of the Beckham brand, Victoria exclaimed: "I couldn?t live like that. I couldn?t live a lie. It would be unfair on our children. Our marriage is not a business arrangement."
Inevitably, the possibility of them renewing their vows came with more oppositional allegations, this time of them divorcing, which David was very quick to defend, he told OK! magazine:
"There?s no way in the world we will ever split up. Victoria and I didn?t get married just to be together for a few years and then split up. We?re married for life and that?s the most important thing."
They are said to be going back to Ireland to renew their vows. Or is that buying Ireland?
