Tom Cruise has come under fire yet again for his outspokenness over his scientology beliefs.

Cruise attacked the treatment used by New York fire fighters following attacks like the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Cruise has attempted to get fire fighters to give up using medication and inhalers after suffering the effects of smoke and has co-founded the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project.

He calls the dismissal of this type of medication a 'purification rundown', fire fighters are encouraged to use sauna sessions, ingestion of cooking oil and large doses of niacin as cures instead?weird.

To prove how serious he is about the project he has financially supported a new Scientology clinic that favours the alternative remedies.

However, the New York fire department are totally against the idea. Deputy Fire Commissioner Frank Gribbon said to Pagesix.com: "If our doctors are prescribing medication, and they (Scientologists) are saying 'don't take it', that's a problem for us."

The Fire department deputy chief medical officer is also critical of the Scientologist?s beliefs, Gribbon continued: "He (Prezant) is not pleased when patients are advised to disobey doctors' orders. That's where he drew the line."

Cruise recently came under fire after he condemned the use of anti-depressants for post-natal depression.

  • Detoxing the body by eating raw organic veggies, taking saunas, colonics, and meditaion is nothing new. The Optimum Health Institute in San Diego and Austin, TX has been helping people cure themselves of numerous diseases such as cancer, diabetis, etc, etc. If you take the toxins out of the body the body will heal itself. Cruises is on the right track.

  • "If you take the toxins out of the body the body will heal itself" ? Yeah, and since wings allow you to fly, I can let a sparrow take me across the Atlantic? Getting the real toxins out is one thing, and it is usually only a step in a process. On the other hand, if those "toxins" happen to be helping your body heal when it can't do it on it's own, you're a moron. To Cruise is a moron.
