V Festival is shaping up for its biggest year to date. The two-day spectacle has just announced another new wave of enormous acts joining their already bulging bill which will this year be topped by Calvin Harris and Kasabian.
Mark Ronson, Example and JLS star Aston Merrygold, who will be stepping out on his own will join the likes of Sam Smith, Olly Murs and Paloma Faith for the festival’s 20th anniversary line-up this summer.
Regulars Scouting For Girls will also make a welcome return alongside Bleachers, Maverick Sabre and Tove Lo, who this week released her glorious new album Queen of the Clouds.
Returning to V Festival following his 2014 appearance, Example said: “I can’t wait to return to V Festival, the crowds never disappoint. A lot of people will be used to my shows with the live band behind me, but this time I’ll be bringing DJ Wire as I want to put on a unique rave with a twist. I’ve been lucky enough to perform at festivals all over the world but there’s always something special about V Festival – it feels like my home turf.”
While Aston Merrygold will make his solo festival debut, which he said is “going to be great fun! It has definitely been tough trying to contain myself, sitting on my hands waiting to get out there with new material, so I can’t wait to finally share my music with everyone…bring it on!!!”
This year’s 20th Anniversary line-up boasts some of the UK’s finest talent including Calvin Harris, Kasabian, Olly Murs, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding and George Ezra.
The two day festival takes place across 21/22 August at both Stafford’s Weston Park and Chelmsford’s Hylands Park while tickets are on sale NOW!
