Angelina Jolie is talking about her divorce again after months of silence as she embarks on the press tour for her new film.
The Oscar-winning actress and mother-of-six has endured a tough few months after her highly-publicised split from Brad Pitt in September and now she’s spoken about it twice in a matter of days.
The Maleficent actress has spoken to ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos about their heartbreaking break-up during a recent interview, where she said she hopes they will be “stronger”.
Confirming their shock split after 10 years together, Angelina claimed it was for the “health” of their family that they had parted ways.
When asked if they were “healthier” now, Angelina (speaking from Cambodia) appeared to ponder on the question and gave a huge sigh.
In her chat, Angelina said: “We are focusing on the health of our family. So we will be stronger when we come out of this because that’s what we’re determined to do as a family.”
She was also asked if Allied actor was still part of that unit, to which she said: “Of course. Of course, we will always be a family. Always.”
While it seems interesting that the fiercely protective mum is speaking openly about the break-up and their split, Angelina has kept a low-profile since filing for divorce.
Now the star has spoken to several high-profile media outlets as she discusses her new movie, First They Killed My Father, which she directed and produced.
It’s only now that she’s been in front of journalists to answer the questions they may have and the Brad split seems inevitable. However, we all know that big Hollywood stars try to pre-approve some of the questions they’re asked.
But to be fair she did a great job of distracting us from the Brad split when she started munching on fried tarantula in another recent interview with the BBC. Oh – and scorpions.
