Frank Ocean has given his fans a slightly early Christmas present, treating them to a listen of 'Wise Man', the song that was axed from the Quentin Tarantino's new movie 'Django Unchained'.
The Channel Orange crooner was disappointed to learn that director Tarantino had decided not to use the ballad as he couldn't the right place for the track in the movie, which follows a love story during slavery and features Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington.
Speaking about 'Wise Man', Tarantino told Rolling Stone earlier this month: "Frank Ocean wrote a fantastic ballad that was truly lovely and poetic in every way, there just wasn't a scene for it."
"I could have thrown it in quickly just to have it, but that's not why he wrote it and not his intention. So I didn't want to cheapen his effort. But, the song is fantastic, and when Frank decides to unleash it on the public, they'll realise it then."
With the movie gearing up for release on Christmas Day in the US, Frank unveiled the track on his Tumblr page on Saturday along with a message showing there are no hard feelings: "django was ill without it."
'Django Unchained' opens in cinemas in the US on Christmas Day and the UK on January 18.
