Spice Girl Mel B is reportedly planning to move back to the UK and is said to be angling for a job as a judge on the X Factor.
The singer, 37, lived in California for a decade before moving Down Under where she appeared as a panellist on the Australian version of the show.
Mel, also known as Scary Spice, was a hit with many viewers as a guest judge on the UK series earlier this year and returned to London this month for the premiere of the Spice Girls' musical 'Viva Forever!'.
And the star, who is married to 37-year-old film producer Stephen Belafonte, is said to be looking into the best British schools for her children, Pheonix, 13, Angel, five and one-year-old Madison ahead of their move.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “She's ready to come back. All her obligations in Australia, where she's been living for two years, come to completion at the end of January.
“Pheonix really wants to be in the UK and Mel's getting signs that things are going to work out with the X Factor. The thing about Mel is she goes where she's wanted and where the work is. And if that's the UK then so be it.”
Mel is said to be thought of by ITV bosses as a replacement for existing X Factor judges Tulisa Contostavlos, 24, or Nicole Scherzinger, 34, if they leave the programme.
