Paul Gascoigne�s back where he feels most at home � on a footie pitch. But he�s not rampaging around and bawling everywhere like days of old, rather he�s sticking to the sidelines in his new position as manager of Kettering Town.
However, he admitted that his thoughts aren�t solely centred on his new club � because he�s so worried about George Best. Testing himself to see how many times he could fit the legendary player's name into one quote, Gazza told the Star:
�It was a shock to me on Wednesday night when I learned about George�I didn�t sleep at all for thinking about George.�
He continued: �George was the first footballer to get all the attention. I�ve been in that situation after him � but not as bad as George � and my thoughts are with him. Footballers all over the country worry about George.�
�Maybe George didn�t like all the attention, being the first one. Maybe he drank to get away from it all.�
�Maybe he didn�t want to show his feelings.�
On a brighter note, the 'Fog On The Tyne' star conceded: �but this at Kettering is completely different for me. It�s a challenge and I�m looking forward to it�It�s a new start for me. I won�t be making the club look like a circus. I�ll be doing the job properly.�
