A Big Brother contestant has reported to police, that she was raped when a date got out of her hand.

The twenty-something telly star, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said the man pinned her down when she asked him to leave her hotel room.

Police arrested the man, but he was freed on bail after insisting that the sex was consensual.

A friend of the victim has told the Sun that the incident could send the BB contestant over the edge:

�She is in pieces and completely traumatised. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to her and she can�t stop crying.�

�He tore her clothes off and pinned her to the bed, then forced himself on her.�

�It was a horrendous experience and she�s in a terrible state. This attack is the last thing she needs. She�s devastated and feels so alone.�

�She has found it difficult to cope with the huge level of fame that went with Big Brother, followed by the lack of work. She has been doing quite a few personal appearances around the country but ends up going out and spending all her money on drink.�
