Nicki Minaj and Beyonce will both be ringing in the New Year in Las Vegas on December 31st, but the Young Money rapper is reportedly receiving a bigger paycheck than superstar Queen Bey.

'Starships' rapper Nicki will be performing at the Pure nightclub at the Caesars Palace hotel later this month, where she will be receiving a whopping $5 million for the gig.

Pure website have promoted the event on their website, writing: "The rapper, songwriter and television personality will throw a boisterous party as she leads the countdown to midnight and celebrates with partygoers at Las Vegas' top mega-club."

Meanwhile, Beyonce has been announced as the entertainment at an invitation-only concert at the Wynn Hotel, also in the gambling capital. The difference is that Beyonce is being paid $4 million, a whole million less than Nicki, despite the 'Single Ladies' singer's superstar status.

Meanwhile, Beyonce's husband Jay-Z will be performing alongside Coldplay on NYE at the rapper's newly-built Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, where he performed eight sold-out shows in October.

No doubt Beyonce is itching to get back on stage after taking a year off to embrace motherhood after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January.

The 31-year-old will be making her comeback in 2013, performing at the Super Bowl in February and releasing her fifth studio album which will feature Miguel, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and production from The-Dream and Kanye West.

Does Nicki deserve to be paid more than Beyonce?
