It's one of the biggest movie franchises of recent years but Jennifer Lawrence is one person who's glad she missed out on a chance to star in the Twilight films.
'The Hunger Games' actress auditioned for the role of Bella Swan years ago but eventually lost the part to Kristen Stewart. The films may have turned Kristen into a worldwide star and grossed millions but Jen is glad she wasn't cast.
Asked if she was relieved she didn't get the part, she told The Guardian newspaper: ''Oh yeah, for sure. I remember when the first movie came out, seeing Kristen Stewart on the red carpet and getting papped wherever she went."
"For me, and I'm assuming for her, it was just another audition. Then it turned into this whole other thing.''
It wasn't long after Twilight that Jennifer bagged her breakout role as Katniss Everdeen in 'The Hunger Games' which propelled her to fame. The actress was nervous about taking a role in the adaptation of the beloved series of novels though:
''I was worried it would be overwhelming and that no one would be able to see me as any other character. But I really cared about the movie. I'm proud of 'The Hunger Games' as I am of any of the other films I've done.''
Whilst Jennifer is busy filming the next Hunger Games movie, 'Catching Fire' she's also celebrating as her work in 'Silver Linings Playbook' earnt her aGolden Globe nomination on this week.
