Smiths singer 'Morrissey' has hit out at Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge in a shocking rant about her pregnancy, branding the royal “arrogant” and claims she has “no shame” following the death of nurse Jacintha Saldanha.
The 46-year-old nurse, who worked at the King Edward VII hospital where the Duchess was treated for severe morning sickness last week, is believed to have killed herself after transferring a prank call made by Australian radio station 2Day Fm, to Kate's ward, where a nurse revealed confidential medical information.
The singer, real name Stephen Morrissey, ranted about the sad death, making claims riddled with inaccuracies about the Duchess' medical condition as well as how events unfolded, during an interview in New Zealand.
Speaking TV channel 3News, Morrissey, who is a famous detractor of the royals said: "Even with the recent story about the nurse killing herself in King Edward Hospital, there's no blame placed on Kate Middleton, who was in the hospital as far as I could see for absolutely no reason."
"She feels no shame about the death of this woman, she's saying nothing about the death of this poor woman. The arrogance of the British royals is staggering, absolutely staggering. And why it's allowed to be I really don't know," he reportedly continued.
He went on to question whether Kate, who was rushed to hospital suffering from Hyperemesis gravidarum, was serious enough to warrant such attention.
He said: "Does she have a health condition...? What is the health condition? I mean morning sickness already? So much hoo haw and then suddenly as bright as a button as soon as this poor woman dies she's out of hospital? It doesn't ring true.
"And I'm sure the Palace and Clarence House put maximum pressure on this poor receptionist and nurse, and of course that's kept away from the press.
"I'm sure the British press hounded this poor woman to her death, that's kept away. And by this time next week she'll be forgotten. And that's how the British royals work."
His comments are disproved by medical experts who claim 90% of women suffer from morning sickness in the first three months of their pregnancy, with Kate believed to be just over two months pregnant.

Clarence House confirmed the Duchess was suffering from Hyperemesis gravidarum following her hospitalisation last week and despite Morrissey's claims, is a dangerous condition.
Leading women’s health expert and nutritionist Dr Marilyn Glenville PhD explains: “If you suffer from this condition, you may vomit so much that you are unable to keep any food or drink down and hospitalization may be necessary in order to be intravenously fed fluids.
“This condition can also be dangerous for you and your baby, so if you're vomiting so much that you can't eat or drink, it's essential that you consult your doctor immediately.”
Soon after news broke that Mrs Saldanha was found dead on Friday a statement was made by the royal couple, it said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jacintha Saldanha.
"Their Royal Highnesses were looked after so wonderfully well at all times by everybody at King Edward VII Hospital, and their thoughts and prayers are with Jacintha Saldanha's family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time."
Morrissey's claim that Kate was still in hospital when Ms Saldanha's death was discovered are also incorrect. The Duchess left the hospital at Thursday lunch time, while the sad death of the nurse was not discovered until Friday.
Clarence House have been approached for a comment over the claims but declined to give a statement.
Representatives for Morrissey have also been asked for a comment on the claims, but have yet to get back to EntertainmentWise.
