The Wanted's feud with One Direction could be a little more serious than we think with the 'Chasing The Sun' singers claiming they could get in trouble with the authorities if they come face to face with the 1D lads in New York City on Friday.
The 'Glad You Came' hitmakers, who have been embroiled in a Twitter feud with the younger boy band over the last month or so, are scheduled to perform at the Z100 Jingle Bell Ball at NYC's Madison Square Garden on Friday, where One Direction will also be taking to the stage.
The Wanted claim they have been threatened with being booted out of the US if they have an altercation with 1D (WENN)
The boy bands' spat came to a climax when 1D's Zayn Malik branded Max George a "chlamydia boy", something which The Wanted singer said "wasn't based on fact."
The Wanted lads, who have just finished touring with Justin Bieber in Canada and the US, challenged One Direction to air out their differences this week while they're both in New York, with the former band warning that things may get a little out of hand.
"It started off as plain fun I think and then I think one of them started getting a bit arsey and started getting a bit serious," Max told MTV News of their feud.

"We tried to play off still as a joke but then it carried on so we just put it out there, 'If you got an actual problem come see us in New York.' But I'm not sure they will, I think people have been in contact saying if we go near them we can have our Visas taken off of us and all this s**t," he continued.
Nathan Sykes added: "And get arrested, apparently."
Max doesn't seemed to be too bothered by the prospect of getting booted out of the US, replying: "Well we don't care. It's nothing we haven't done before so we'll see."
We suggest the boys just thrash it out over a game of Connect 4.
