Lindsay Lohan's Money Trouble Won't Go Away, 'Despite $100,000 From Charlie Sheen'

Will the actress pull through this?

Just as things started to look up for troubled Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan after a good few tempestuous years in and out of the court room, it's already gone haywire after she got arrested last week for an alleged punch-up in a nightclub.

Set to change her life for the better after her numerous drink-driving court cases along with theft and drug use, LiLo won a role as the late and great Elizabeth Taylor in the TV biopic Liz & Dick.

But after receiving a backlash of rotten reviews for her acting skills, as well as being arrested for punching a girl straight in the face whilst on a night out with The Wanted, the IRS has reportedly seized her bank assets to cover unpaid income taxes totalling $233,904, according to sources.

The IRS slapped two fines on Lohan earlier this year of $140,203 and $93,701 for unpaid taxes in 2009 and 2010 - and she's also on the hook for unpaid taxes in 2011.

A source close to Lohan told The New York Post: “Lindsay is freaking out. And she's doing what she always does, which is to say it’s not her fault and point the finger at someone else in her team.''

''She says she didn’t know anything about it . . . she’s broke and it’s not her fault,'' she added.

Her managers are desperately trying to strike a deal to repay the money: “The people hired to take care of it are taking care of it and it will be resolved by the end of the year,” another source close to Lohan revealed, adding the bank seizure was just part of the “process.”

Fellow troubled A-list pal Charlie Sheen, who has been the centre of controversy himself quite a few times, gave LiLo $100,000 to help cover the mounting debts.

But another friend added: “Lindsay is a disaster with money. But she’s a hustler and always finds somebody at the last minute to bail her out.”

And Lindsay's dad, Michael Lohan, says that his daughter's problems won't be solved unless she heads to rehab, adding that Sheen should have put a condition on the generous amount of cash.

“It was really generous of him,’’ Michael told The Post. “But he should have said, ‘I’ll give you the money for your taxes if you go into treatment.'”

Lohan is on course to earn $2 million this year, including a delayed $1 million for a Playboy shoot plus $300,000 from Liz and Dick, and a reported $200,000 for a cameo in Scary Movie 5.

So let's just hope LiLo can dodge the prison door this time...
