X Factor's Christopher Maloney has revealed that he will be “hurt” if he doesn't have the backing of Syco manager Simon Cowell.
The Liverpudlian said on the Xtra Factor last night: “It does hurt a little if Simon's saying don't let them vote for me.
“The general public...it's their money and they can vote for who they like.”
Although Simon has not said outright that he doesn't want the 34-year-old to win the competition, various reports have suggested that the media mogul isn't keen on Chris winning the show.
The media mogul tweeted earlier this week: “Please vote for who you believe could be a star next year.”
There have also been reports that Christopher's diva behaviour and cruise ship past has been exaggerated by X Factor insiders in order to stop the public giving him the sympathy vote.
However it was confirmed that Christopher Maloney will have the support of Sony records if the public vote him as their winner.
Louis certainly didn't disguise what he thinks of Maloney on the Xtra Factor, saying: “It's a two-horse race for me - James and Jahmene.”
“I think it's wide open but I trust the British public to pick the right talent.”
Gary Barlow, Maloney's mentor, revealed that the pressure of the live show was making Maloney physically sick.
He told Caroline Flack and Olly Murs on the Xtra Factor: "I think he's suffered with his nerves more this week than previous weeks.
“He was actually being sick last night before we went on stage, that's how nervous he gets.”
Does all the negativity make you feel sorry for Chris? Or do the singer's cheesy classics leave you feeling a bit queasy too?
