Mariah Carey made a mega fashion faux pas when she squeezed her ample curves into a awful Christmas-inspired dress during a performance for the 80th Rockefeller tree lighting in New York.
Clearly the mother-of-two didn't consult her stylist before donning the odd creation that looked like left over Christmas wrappings.

The American Idol judge looks like she may have piled on some pounds in the run-up to Christmas and was sporting a larger-than-life cleavage and rounded face.
While the diva's choice of clothing may have been a miss, she still managed to blow the crowd away when she took to the stage to belt out the festive hit 'All I Want For Christmas'.

Accompanied by a jovial-looking Santa Claus and adorable backing dancers, the star brought smiles to thousands of fans who waited in the bitter cold to watch performances by the diva, as well as from Cee Lo Green, Il Divo, Rod Stewart and Bette Midler.
The singer changed into a more befitting silver gown for her second performance and looked every inch a star with a fur stole and white flower pinned to her flowing locks.
The pre-taped event is due to be aired in the US on NBC tonight.
