Five News have invited guests Mercury prize winner Ms Dynamite, Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes, drug smuggler turned Mr Nice novelist Howard Marks, and Blairs old right hand man Alistair Campbell to edit their news for a month starting November 11.
Their tasks for the 7pm half-hour news include ordering the daily stories, as well as commissioning their own reports for the TV bulletins.
Presenter of Five News Kirsty Young said; "The four guest editors have very different areas of specialist knowledge and use diverse disciplines in their respective fields of music, sport, culture and politics.
"It will be fascinating to see how their backgrounds influence their editorial judgment, opinions on the day's top news stories and choice of individual reports.
As previous editor to Sunday Today newspaper, Alistair Campbell's no stranger to journalism , and has previously written pornography for Forum magazine.
Editor of Five News Mark Calvert adds; "This is a first for television news in this country.
"All of our guest editors are used to being in the news, and have on many occasions been the focus of intense media interest.
"But this will challenge them, and challenge their view of what makes news.
And ours, no doubt.
