Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra and Elton John have all been inducted into the Grammy 2013 hall of fame.
Neil Portnow, president of the Recording Academy, said: “With the Grammy Hall Of Fame celebrating 40 years, it’s especially important that these entries continue the tradition of inducting wide variety of recordings that have inspired and influenced both fans and music makers for generations.”
Famous songs such as Sinatra’s 'New York, New York', Houston and John’s self –entitled discs and Paul McCartney & Wings' 'Band on the Run' have all made it into the prestigious hall of fame.
The Grammys, which is in its 55th year, will take place in February next year, but preparations for the star studded event are already underway.
According to reports, country singer and teen sweetheart Taylor Swift is set to co-host the Grammy nominations special with US rapper LL Cool J.
LL Cool J, who has hosted the special event since its launch, will be joined by Taylor for the second time. The singer co-hosted the show with him in 2008.
