A mere seven weeks before King Kong is due to premiere, director Peter Jackson has swapped score composers.
King Kong and his original score have separated due to the differences of creative opinions of Peter Jackson, and Oscar winning scorer Howard Shore of Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Shores replacement is composer James Newton Howard of The Sixth Sense, Batman Begins, The Village, The Fugitive, and Waterworld.
Naomi Watts, Jack Black, and Adian Brody star in Jacksons King Kong, due to be premiered on 5th December in New York.
Jackson and Shore are still friends, Jackson said;
"During the last few weeks, Howard and I came to realise that we had differing creative aspirations for the score of 'King Kong.'
"Rather than waste time arguing with a friend and trying to unify our points of view, we decided amicably to let another composer score the film."
Jacksons tales from Tolkien team of writers, special effects, and cinematographer; have essentially remained the same for his remake of the 1933 classic.
Andy Serkis, of computer generated Gollum, will be working his magic again on the great gorilla project.
The location of choice once more was New Zealand, where shooting began September 2004.
