Some have deemed the request an odd one as Burton was laid to rest in Switzerland...hmm.
However, after suffering following surgery on her back and a brain tumour, Taylor, 73 has reconsidered her last wishes and now wants the Royal Welsh College Of Music And Drama in Cardiff to be her final resting place.
Taylor and Burton were married twice in much publicised make-up�s and break-up�s, they had planned to be buried together but Burton�s widow, Sally Hay flat out refused to allow it to go ahead.
Brother of Burton, Graham Jenkins has said: "Elizabeth said she wanted her remains brought back to Wales after seeing photos of the college.
"She asked if she could have them placed close to Richard's theatre.�
Burton was as Welsh as they come, one of 13 children of a coal miner born near Port Talbot. He went on to achieve world wide and Hollywood success before dying of a brain haemorrhage in 1984.
