The former Steps singer had vowed to give up her crappy pop career if her single failed to make the top ten this week.
And with new single Electric struggling at No.13 she has been forced to take it all back.
Speaking to the Sun she said: "Of course I regret saying it.
"A year ago I was feeling low about the industry. My last single, 'Get It On', only got to No. 23.
"Then I signed up for MTV reality show 'Totally Scott-Lee'.
"To give it some narrative I said I'd quit if I failed to go Top Ten.
"But it's awful now it's happened. I'm going to launch it in Australia, Japan and Germany - but I'll back."
Please dont bother
She came out better then some of the other female singers breaking out on their own. Rachel Stevens also failed to make the top 10.
However, ex-Atomic Kitten, Jenny Frost, didnt even make the top 40; she bombed out of the chart at No.47 with her debut solo single Crash Landing.
Stick to being Natasha Hamiltons backing singer love
