It's fair to say that life would be a little different without 'Twilight' for Kristen Stewart, and here we take a look at how being cast as Bella in the hit vamp saga has changed the 22-year-old starlet.
OK it's unlikely that K-Stew would've ended up flipping burgers in McDonald's, she was after all cast in 'The Panic Room' a full six years before 'Twilight' came into view, but the movies have certainly changed her life.
First the actress has become an icon to teen girls across the globe in a way that few actresses have ever been before or are likely to be after. Fine actress that 'The Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence is, we can't imagine thousands ending up in tears over the break up of her relationship.

And of course that brings us to Rob. No 'Twilight', no romance of the century, and no part in Hollywood's youngest power couple. Combine her personal popularity with that of the movies and you work out why Kristen is now reportedly Hollywood's biggest earning woman.
But fame has alas had its downsides too, with the frenzy over the star's affair with director Rupert Sanders leaving the actress reportedly shaken and her relationship with co-star Rob in tatters.
That's part of the reason that the Stewart we see on the red carpet today is a more worldly, womanly figure than the naive teen who first strolled past the press and fans of the movie in 2008.

Now her and Rob are back together Kristen has been through the tough times and is set to end her participation in 'Twilight' on a high, something that was unthinkable back in July when it seemed that her and Rob's world and that of the movies was crashing down around her.
Kristen seems to acknowledge too that the movies' success has been overwhelming, telling Flicks and Bits: "I always think of Comic-Con. The first Comic-Con was so 100% disarming and overwhelming. I’d done some movies before ‘Twilight,’ I knew what it felt like to love something with another director or another actor, making something together that you’re both really moved by – that’s the most amazing feeling."
She went on to describe how seeing fans of the movie gave her the strangest feeling of how her life had changed, adding: "If you can like something together, hate something together, find something funny together, it’s suddenly a 100 times more, rather than just having that experience on your own. So when we sat in front of 6000 people, that energy is the most….I just knew it was going to get bigger. I was like, 'This isn’t just going to stop.' Because it’s contagious, that energy is like fire, it catches. I had never seen that before."
From a gawky teen to a face recognised around the world and loved by millions, the fact is that even if your love of vampires is restricted to watching the odd rerun of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, you can't escape Kristen Stewart!
