'Cold Feet' star Jamie Nesbitt is taking his stand with Amnesty International against human wrongs.
Nesbitts bringing attention to the Amnesty International cause by launching a campaign to collect one million people to get on their feet, and stand up with him in the fight for human rights.
So far by Nesbitts side are 'Grand Designs Kevin McCloud, and 'Goodness Gracious Mes Sanjeey Bhaskar.
This week is Protect the Human Week, and events are being held nationwide to spread awareness. Nearly 2,000 school assemblies will be dedicated to the cause.
Protect the Human badges have been made, and followers can go on the Amnesty website to send an e-postcard on behalf of someone under threat.
Zimbabwe is just one of the countries Amnesty International is concentrating on.
Nesbitt believes, "There are women in Zimbabwe who campaign tirelessly for justice despite arrests, threats and even beatings.
"I am personally stunned by their bravery and they're an example to us all.
"If they can stand up for human rights in Zimbabwe then it's pretty simple for people here to stand beside them and back their call for justice."
So go on people "Get up , stand up, stand up for your rights!"
You know it makes sense.
