We expected the final instalment of the 'Twilight' franchise, 'Breaking Dawn - Part Two' to go with a bang, and that it did, bringing in old props including Jacob's (Taylor Lautner) motorbike and Bella's (Kristen Stewart)truck, but what we didn't expect is real wolves.
And neither did PETA, who have now blasted the organisers of the 'Twilight' after party, according to E! News. Following the appearance of three caged wolves among the 'delights' at the party that were greeting the guests, a statement was released by People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals.
"Didn't it dawn on the Twilight event organizers that real wolves do not belong at a party with blaring music and flashing lights?" it said in a PETA a statement to E! News.
"The wolves were provided by Hollywood Animals, a notorious exhibitor that has been cited for numerous violations of the Animal Welfare Act for repeatedly failing to provide the animals it exploits with basic veterinary care and proper shelter, space, food, and water.
"We hope the rest of the promotional events surrounding Breaking Dawn celebrates the brilliant work of the cast and crew and shows enough respect for wildlife to leave animals out of it."
It seems that PETA do enjoy 'Twilight' though, as they didn't call the movies "brilliant".
We have contacted Summit Entertainment and Hollywood Animals for a comment.
