There have been rumours Chris Brown and Rihanna have been hooking up for months, but hot on the heels of the ‘Diamonds’ star’s denial that she’s in a relationship with the singer, Chris Brown has talked in detail about their romance and claimed that they are, not back together.
Going into details of their relationship, which ended three years ago after the ‘Yeah X3’ star assault his then girlfriend, Brown talked about his feelings for Rihanna now during an interview on Power 106 radio in the US admitting that for now they’re the “best of friends”.
“No, and that’s just quick, a quick answer,” he replied when asked if they were together.
“Me and her have history and me and her are definitely always going to be best of friends. And we're working on our friendship now.”
Speculation the pair were dating again was at fever pitched last month, when they were allegedly caught hooking up in a club toilet in New York days before his break up with girlfriend of two years Karrueche Tran.
The star confirmed the split in a statement and in a video posted online days later he talked of being “in love with two people”.
Referring to the emotional video he said: "When I feel a certain, an urge, whether it's music or it's an emotion, I feel the need to share with people because it's an experience and a life lesson,"
"With that it's just me being honest with myself.”
Acknowledging the interest in the couple’s history Brown agreed it was hard to have his relationship analysed by the world.
“It doesn’t become your situation anymore. People are attached to the whole situation.”
"As far as our personal life, I think people just got to give it a chance — or not even give it a chance, shut the hell up is basically what it is," he added.
"I'm not trying to rush into anything, put any rings on anybody's finger or lie to anybody. I just rather be completely honest, express my feelings."
Yesterday Rihanna gave the same answer when discussing the romance.
''No. Not together," Rihanna flatly told Bravo's Andy Cohen via a live Facebook interview when probed about the 'Don't Wake Me Up' singer.
Hinting, however, that she may holding back on her true feelings about the staus of their relationship, the Roc Nation beauty said ultimately whatever she decides it's really "nobody's business".
''Basically [it's] the way I look at everything regarding my personal life. Even though you have to witness it, it still is mine. "
