Marlene Dietrich despised sex in spite of having an abundant selection of devoted bed partners, and had �a totally normal schizophrenic� personality, so her daughter claims in memoir �My Mother Marlene�.
Dietrich, known as one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century was born in 1901, grew up in Berlin where she was discovered performing in a cabaret by American film producer.
She became an American citizen in 1937, where she starred in many great films, and entertained US troops in Europe and North Africa at the end of WW2 in the anti-Nazi movement.
Daughter Riva, who frequently felt sorry for the multitudes of rejected lovers, told Bunte magazine that regardless of Marlene�s loathing to perform in the bedroom, she was never short of a male following.
�All of her lovers wanted to marry her anyway,� Bolded magazine quote Riva. �Marlene Dietrich the film star was always just the person in the mirror, but never her real self.�
