It's that time of the year again when a bunch of celebrities decide to leave their comfortable lifestyles behind in favour of a few weeks sleeping amongst rats and bugs in the Australian outback. Oh yes, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is back!
So, after weeks of speculation over this series' new jungle mates, the official line up has been revealed!
Going into the jungle will be Doctor Who actor Colin Baker and boxer David Haye, who has admitted that his time in the jungle might be tough. He said: "I do think it is going to be tough because it's a situation I am not familiar with. It's out of my comfort zone and being in the jungle will present its own challenges.
"The fact that this is something new and different is the reason why I am doing I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! I love challenges."
Joining Colin and David will be comedian Brian Conley, who won't mind having rats crawling over him in various bush tucker trials. Admitting to wanting to get to know rats before entering the jungle, Brian said:
"I made a point of visiting a farm that has rats in Newcastle. I have watched every series and I know in the past, celebrities have had to get inside plastic coffins with rats running over them. I knew that if I wanted to get any sleep, I had better get used to them!
"At the farm, I got to know eight rats and I even had them running over me! I am absolutely fine with rats now."
Darts player Eric Bristow will also be joining in on the jungle fun as will Made In Chelsea star Hugo Taylor. Hoping that people will get to see the real side of him in the jungle, Hugo said: "When I did Made In Chelsea, you only got to know a part of me and you didn’t see the whole of me. You only saw me interact with my peer group and I think it’s going to be interesting to see me interact with people who aren’t from my life and not from London. I do have friends who aren’t from Chelsea. It’s going to be nice to show who I really am.”
The jungle will also see EastEnders' Charlie Brooks and former Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan enter. Hoping to make new friends, Helen who used to play Rosie Webster in the soap said:
“People say you make friends for life and so I am really excited about making some new friends in the jungle. It will be good to discover things about myself too – my different strengths and weaknesses.”
With her former Pussycat Doll bandmate Nicole Scherzinger making a name for herself as a judge on the X Factor, her former bandmate Ashley Roberts is hoping to the same when she enters the jungle. Who knows she might even find love in the jungle after admitting: "British men are very charming and if the man of my dreams is in the jungle, then let it be! I am 100 per cent single.”
Ending off the line up for this year's show is actress Linda Robson and controversial MP Nadine Dorries.
