Robert Pattinson: 'I Get More Abuse In England Than US'

'Twilight' star says its easier to be famous in the US...

Robert Pattinson is used to people screaming his name, probably not too surprised by girls fainting around him either since finding fame as Edward Cullen in ‘Twilight’, but according to the British actor he does suffer quite a lot of abuse.

The 26-year-old, who recently got back together with Kristen Stewart after she was publicly caught cheating on him with her ‘Snow White And The Huntsman’ director Rupert Sanders, has admitted that he finds fame in the UK much more tougher than in the US.

Rob, who is currently promoting the final instalment of ‘Twilight’ with ‘Breaking Dawn – Part Two’, was recently asked where he gets more attention – in the US or UK.

According to Digital Spy, Rob said: “I don’t know actually. I used to be able to be in England and just be fine. No-one had any idea who I was, it came later in England. Now it’s relatively similar.”

But Rob added that getting mocked for being famous is a British trait, as he said: "I get a lot more abuse in England. That's just a general English attitude, I did the same thing to famous people. It's just your instinct."
