She's carried the self-given stage name 'Scary Spice' ever since we can remember, but now it has emerged that Mel B has had quite the scary experience herself after getting into a scrap with a paparrazo.
The 37-year-old former Spice Girl, real name Melanie Brown, has been granted a restraining order in Sydney, Australia, against a photographer who she alleged threatened her husband and endangered her life.
A Waverley Court judge has ordered Jamie Fawcett to refrain from ''loitering'' less than 160 feet away from Scary Spice, who's been residing Down Under while judging on X Factor Australia, according to Sydney's Daily Telegraph.
The feisty 'Wannabe' songstress appeared at a hearing today and recounted for the court how the paparazzo ambushed her and her hubby Stephen Belafonte when they were having a day out on kayaks in Sydney Harbour last week.

Fawcett stirred up ''big waves'' with his boat while circling her and and her PA to take snaps, resulting in a nefarious exchange of words between Belafonte and the photographer, in which the latter reportedly told him: "You don't know you are f--king with. I will kill you."
Fawcett didn't appear at the proceeding, and was instead represented by his lawyer who informed the court that only Mel B's version of events had been provided.
And when approached for a comment by the Daily Telegraph, Fawcett shunned the accusations and instead opined: "continue to do my job, including taking pictures of any celebrity, but particularly Mel B."
The controversial pap in question has also received backlash from actress Nicole Kidman who accused him of planting a listening device outside the actress's harborside Sydney home in 2005.
