Britney Spears has teased that "something could be in the works" with regards to a performance on The X Factor USA's season finale.
The $15 million judge, who will be seen on FOX tonight as the show enters its Live Shows stage, had previously been rumoured to be lining up a performance when Simon Cowell tweeted his love for the idea.
Cowell and Spears were chatting to Cowell's ex Terri Seymour on Extra when Spears was asked about the possibility of taking to the stage herself.
"Maybe so," she said. "Something could be in the works. We don't know."
She also said that she will bring her sons Sean, 7, and Jayden, 6, to the show tonight. Awwww.
Spears is the bookies' favourite to be the winning mentor, ahead of Demi Lovato, Cowell and LA Reid in that order.
