Niall Horan has finally set the record straight about what exactly is happening between him and Demi Lovato and while he admitted they went on a date he never got a kiss from the pretty brunette.
Rumours about the X Factor judge and the One Direction hunk have been swirling for months with the couple reportedly enjoying cosy Skype chats and dates.
But according to the blonde stud they never went on a date until September following the MTV VMAs and things were kept strictly friendly rather than romantic.
“What actually happened was that I always used to say in my interviews that I liked her and she also said she liked me,” the 19 year-old told Now magazine.
“We got in contact through Twitter and we just started chatting and became friends. When I've been in LA and had a few hours to myself, I've seen her a couple of times.”
While there's no romance yet, looks like Niall is quite the fan of Demi's.
“[She's] one of the nicest girls I know. She's super-cool,” he gushed. “She always texts me to see how I am. But nothing ever really happened.”
Oh disappointing, though we reckon there's a possibility of some love there.
Opening up about their VMA's date he added: “We did go for a bit of dinner after the MTV Video Music Awards.”
But did they kiss? “No, no - I wish!”
Despite being loved the world over, sounds like Niall needs to improve his dating skills dinner and no kiss?!
