Chad Kroeger has entered into a celebrity bitch fight with fiancé Avril Lavigne's ex Deryck Whibley. And it all went down because of the Sum 41 star's Halloween costume tribute...
Chad Kroeger sang that a "hero could save us" and we're guessing he meant himself - the Nickelback singer has leapt to defend Avril Lavigne after her ex and his new girlfriend decided to dress as Lavigne and Kroeger for Halloween.
Even worse? The Sum 41 singer and Ari Cooper swapped genders for the costume tribute to his 'Sk8r Boi' ex, ensuring it stung extra-hard.
The outfits may have scored some laughs from a few a lot of people, but (the real) Kroeger was less than amused when he caught wind of what had happened.
The 'Photograph' singer hit back at Whibley via his official Nickelback Twitter account:
“Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha!”
BURN!
We wonder how Deryck Whibley will respond to Chad Kroeger's very well-aimed insult? And (more importantly) we wonder if Avril Lavigne will break her silence and wade into the fray?
