There's no denying that Nicole Scherzinger has settled into her role as an X Factor judge in the UK pretty well and now the star has revealed that she has been told to "own" the show by media mogul and X Factor supremo, Simon Cowell.
Speaking to The Sun, the star who gave up her role as a judge on the American version of the show after just one series, spoke of her conversations with Simon, saying:
"He says things like ‘you are a star’ or ‘you own it’. He wants me to own it. That’s me having to raise myself to the next level as I don’t want to let him down.”
The star also spoke of her new found confidence in telling the contestants on the show, what she thinks of their performances. Admitting that she was nervous to speak her mind when she first began, Nicole continued:
"When I say stuff I think, ‘I can’t believe I said something like that on TV’. But no one has criticised me, no one has judged me for it and they actually get it.”
With all of her acts still in the competition, Nicole gave her opinion on who she would like to see in the final, mentioning Jahmene Douglas, James Arthur and Ella Henderson as the front runners before adding:
"Don’t underestimate them.”
