Musical misfit Ke$ha managed to panic the planet yesterday after a Twitter hoax started trending.
As her latest single is called 'Die Young', a group of users repeatedly tweeted the hashtag 'RIP Kesha', and in a short space of time, the tag was trending.
According to Digital Spy, some fans who were unaware of the origins of the tweet were devastated. "Omg, no, I loved her! We've lost another legendary musician. Rest in peace!" posted one.
It looks like the buzz paid off as everyone is now talking about the single, which isn't out for another month - although US fans can listen to it now, it doesn't drop in the UK until 25 November.
Kesha recently told Popcrush.com about her favourite Halloween memory. "I dressed like a fern, and I duct taped live plants all over my body so you couldn't even see me. I was at some party, and my parts kept falling off. It was really awkward, but then I got drunk and it was fine."
So, if you've not seen Ke$ha for a little while and you're getting anxious, she's probably not passed on.
Chances are that she'd hiding in a bush, dressed in plant parts and getting drunk - which is much, much scarier...
Ke$ha's no ghost - but she claims that she's had sex with one. Check it out here:
