Usher was the highest bidder at an auction and ended the evening by taking home his new puppy, which cost a whopping $12,000 (£7.4K)
Whilst attending the Pencils Of Promise Gala, which the star also attended last year, Usher decided to bid on a small goldendoodle puppy, but never fear- all the proceeds went to charity.
The previous year in 2011 the 'Burn' singer had entered into a bidding war with the other guests, only to lose out to a family who went on to name the pup Usher.
This year, however, Usher was determined to have a new canine friend and from the outset he showed his determination. His initial bid of $10K was topped by actress Jessica Szohr, but the popstar brought it back by throwing his hands up in the air to declare his victorious bid.
The puppy, said to be female, was taken home by an overjoyed Usher who later posted photographs of the two of them on his Twitter account. He commented: "All in the name of feline fun! It took me 2 years but I outbid everyone this year to bring Poppy home to Ush."
Usher has unveiled the music video for his latest release 'Numb', which is to be released November 4th.
