Rod Stewart has made an amazing confession, that he and Faces bandmate (and future Rolling Stone) Ronnie Wood shoved cocaine up their bums.
The star admitted to the buttock-clenching behaviour on Access Hollywood while promoting his new tell-all book.
Apparently the pair had such wild drug sessions in the 1970s that their noses just weren't up to scratch anymore, with Ronnie burning a hole in his septum due to his bingeing on the Class-A substance.
The 'Maggie May' singer said: "(What happened to Ronnie) scared him, so we found another method of taking the drug. We put them in a little pill like the French do them, a suppository."
He added: "We did that for a little while," but then seemed to backtrack, perhaps realising that he's recently become a dad again, and the tales may not go down well with his fans, many of whom may now be grandmothers.
The British rockstar said: "Are we still on the air?"Before adding: “As far as the drugs are concerned, I was never an addict.
“I was never, you know, in rehab. It never affected my family or my relationships. I was just a social user."
He also tried to put his womanising reputation to rest, saying: “People try and say that I’ve had thousands of girls. I haven’t. I’ve probably had 50 or 60.” Which considering Ken Barlow (actor William Roache) claims to be in four figures on the female front, makes Rod quite chaste.
